Job Description: Controls Engineer
The Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for various electrical engineering projects. This role requires expertise in electrical engineering principles and knowledge of control system design, analysis, and troubleshooting. The Controls Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration and functionality of control systems within engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and design control systems for electrical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
2. Analyze control system requirements, specifications, and performance objectives to determine the most effective and efficient control system design.
3. Create detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications for control systems.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems into various engineering projects, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
5. Conduct thorough testing and validation of control systems to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during the implementation and commissioning of control systems.
7. Perform troubleshooting and debugging of control systems, identifying and resolving any operational or functional issues.
8. Stay updated with the latest advancements and industry best practices in control system design and electrical engineering.
9. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and select appropriate control system components and equipment.
10. Document all control system designs, configurations, and modifications accurately and comprehensively.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Controls Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in a relevant industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of control system design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
4. Proficient in electrical engineering principles, including electrical schematics and diagrams.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in control systems.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
7. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Proficient in using industry-standard electrical engineering software and tools.
9. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations for control system design and implementation.
